Some people just love to flirt with danger. A Buffalo-based Twitter user who goes by @slavojtrex recently reshared a photo that had previously landed them in hot water. The photo in question was a shot of the parking lot at their workplace being dominated by pickup trucks, with the added caption, “These are the vehicles my coworkers drive to our job at a bank.”
Happy one year anniversary to the time I tweeted this picture with the caption

“These are the vehicles my coworkers drive to our job at a bank”
and it made truck guys so mad they figured out which bank I worked at and tried to get me fired pic.twitter.com/vIHt0TK17L
Apparently, last time @slavojtrex shared the photo, fans of pickup trucks got so mad that they managed to figure out where he worked and tried to get him fired, but obviously they were unsuccessful since @slavojtrex remains undeterred and instead came back for a second round of drama.
Am I gonna haul my race car to the track with a Honda Odyssey? Or haul my boat in and out of the launch when we go to our second home?

The answer is no.
The arguments people mounted in @slavojtrex’s replies were bizarre, with one guy rejecting @slavojtrex’s suggestion that people with pickup trucks buy something like a Honda Odyssey instead by saying, “Am I gonna haul my race car to the track with a Honda Odyssey? Or haul my boat in and out of the launch when we go to our second home?”
His reply does perfectly encapsulate the type of person to own one of these trucks, however — people with enough money to own second homes, race cars and boats, in addition to their obscenely sized trucks.
@slavojtrex, an avowed leftist, has several concerns when it comes to these pickup trucks, a major one being the danger they pose to others on the road. He’s right to be concerned. According to 2019 statistics, in 74 percent of all fatal car accidents, a large truck is involved, meaning that an accident involving a pickup is 2.5 times more likely to result in fatal injuries.
My dad did all the work on our house growing up so I understand what you mean. He a practical guy tho and doesn’t know what “inferiority complex” means so he drives a Honda Odyssey

On a more superficial note, it also just seems incredibly silly — driving this huge vehicle to your day job at a suburban bank is just excessive and, Ryan argues, driven by the owner’s inferiority complex.
Considering how many times he recommends people buy a Honda Odyssey instead, however, I wouldn’t be remotely surprised to learn that this entire thing was guerrilla marketing from Honda — undisclosed advertising is seemingly everywhere online these days, so you never know.
Either way, he should Cybertrucks next.
